No Tricycles Allowed

I just noticed that my classmate Amanda had a sign on her blog that is very similar to the Mexico sign that I used. So I will add this photo as another example of culturally-laden signage. I found this photo on Flickr of a "No tricycles allowed" sign from the Philippines, which the photographer describes as being unique to the area. Because these vehicles are found only in the Philippines, the sign is culturally relevant.

If you look at the Flickr page, you can see what the real tricylces look like. The sign seems to be a very good representation of the actual vehicle. The big, red line through the image makes it clear that they are prohibited and effectively communicates the message .
